By using Lernify you agree to these terms.
Your account
You can create an account with an email address, or with Apple or Google. You need to be at least 16 to use Lernify. Keeping your account and password safe is up to you. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. You can also try Lernify as a guest, without an account, with limits; a guest account that isn't used for 30 days is deleted.
Fair use
- Don't send unlawful, abusive or infringing content.
- Don't send photos of other people without their consent.
- Never photograph nudity, intimate body parts or sexual content — yours or anyone else's — and never use Lernify for anything sexual.
- Don't automate requests or try to work around limits. Daily request limits apply.
- Use friend requests, invitations and nudges only to reach people you know. They are limited each day, and the person on the other side can block you.
AI answers
Translations, example sentences, Mosy's replies, corrections and memory tips, and your weekly story are generated by AI and can be wrong, odd or out of date. They are for learning, not professional translation or advice. Replies are checked by automatic filters before you see them; if one is wrong or upsetting, report it with the flag on the reply. What you write to Mosy is sent to an AI service (see the privacy policy), so don't write passwords or other sensitive details there.
Content
The photos you take and the sentences you write are yours. The app's name, design and code are ours.
Community content
Some of what you make in Lernify can be seen by other people: word sets you share (their name, words and example sentences), your username and name, your profile photo, your place and XP in weekly leagues, your duel results (to your opponent), your shared streak with a friend (your name, your photo and whether you practised today), the messages you write in channel chats and what you say in voice rooms, and — if you switch it on — your weekly progress in a class (to its teacher).
- We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Don't post anything hateful, sexually explicit, violent, harassing or otherwise offensive, and don't bully or threaten anyone.
- Word sets are checked automatically before they are published; a set with words we can't publish is refused.
- Chat messages and channel topics are checked automatically before they are shown. Voice is live and never recorded, so in a room anyone can report or block a person, and the room's owner and moderators can mute or remove them.
- Anyone can report a word set or a person from inside the app, and block a person they don't want to see.
- We review reports within 24 hours. Content that breaks these terms is removed, and the account that posted it is suspended or deleted.
- Classes are for learners 16 and over. A teacher sees the name and username of everyone who joins with the class code, and the progress a student chooses to share, and can remove a student; a student can leave at any time. A teacher is responsible for the class's name and the word sets shared with it, and must follow these terms. A class that breaks them can be closed, and the account behind it suspended or deleted.

Photo safety
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users, and we check photos automatically:
- Every photo you take for a word is checked for nudity, sexual content and graphic violence before any word is made from it. A photo that fails gets no words, is never saved, and still counts toward the day's photos. Intimate body parts are never offered as words.
- Every new profile photo is checked before anyone else can see it. Until then only you see it. A photo that fails is deleted and your previous photo stays.
- When two independent checks both find nudity or sexual content, it counts as a strike. Camera photos: the first strike is a warning, the second pauses the camera for 7 days, the third turns the camera off for your account. Profile photos: the first strike is a warning, the second suspends your account until we review it. Strikes older than 90 days no longer count.
- Suspended accounts can't use Lernify's community features, and we may delete accounts that keep breaking these terms.
- If you think we got it wrong, write to [email protected] from your account's email. We reply within 24 hours and lift a pause or a suspension when it was a mistake.
Changes to the service
The app is under active development. Features may change, be added or be withdrawn. The service is provided "as is", without warranties to the extent the law allows.
App Store
If you got Lernify from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and Lernify, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.
