Your daily discoveries

Everything around you
is a word.

Point your camera at anything — Lernify names it in the language you're learning, translates it into your language and shows you how it sounds. Then you rehearse it out loud in a short everyday scene with Mosy.

For iPhone. Lernify speaks your iPhone's language — English, Russian, Turkish or Azerbaijani — and you choose the one to learn.

How it works

Three steps, a few minutes a day.

No textbook, no endless word lists. You learn from your own room, your own desk, your own life.

01

Take a photo

Point the camera at an object in front of you. AI recognises what's in the photo and names it.

02

Learn the word

The name in the language you're learning, the translation in your language, the pronunciation and the sound of it. The word is saved with your photo.

03

Start speaking

AI writes a short scene around that word — a café, the office, an airport — and you answer your way through it.

Photo → word

Your first word is one photo away.

Lernify starts with your camera, from the very first minute. Point it at something near you and Mosy names it in the language you're learning, with the meaning in yours and how it sounds.

  • Anything around you — a cup, a chair, a street sign — becomes a word with its meaning.
  • Hear it said, slowed down a little so you catch every sound.
  • No camera handy? Start with a sample picture instead.
  • Every word keeps its photo, so you remember where you found it.

Memory

Words come back just before you'd forget them.

Every word has its own page: the photo, the meaning, examples to listen to and a conversation to use it in. A memory gauge shows how well it has stuck.

  • Spaced reviews after 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days. “Knew it” moves a word up; “Not yet” brings it back tomorrow.
  • Today's review on Home: see the photo, recall the meaning, check yourself. A few minutes a day.
  • Five memory steps, from “Just started” to “Learned”.
  • Your schedule syncs with your account, so a new phone picks up where you left off.

Practise speaking

Rehearse real conversations with Mosy.

In the AI rehearsal room, everyday scenes — like ordering at a café — are written around the word you've just learned. You read the other person's line and answer out loud.

  • A hint with today's word and its meaning, whenever you need it.
  • A ready answer to practise first. It's fine to make mistakes here.
  • Read aloud by your iPhone's voice, a little slower than normal.

Level test

Start at your real level, A1 to C2.

A short adaptive test: ten questions, about three minutes. Each answer moves the next question a level up or down. Or simply say you're just starting.

  • CEFR levels A1–C2, for every language you learn.
  • No repeats: your next test skips the questions you've already seen.
  • Take it again every 14 days as you get better.

Passport

All your words in one Passport.

Every word you find lives in your Passport with its photo. Share them with friends or a class as a word set.

  • Word sets of 5 to 30 words, shared by link or a 6-character code.
  • Add a set in one tap, and every word is translated into your language.
  • Your words follow you: sign in on a new phone and they're all there, photos included.

Friends

Learn with friends, not on your own.

Friends has its own tab: duels, your weekly league and your friends, all in one place.

  • Duels: five sentences, one winner. You both fill the same gaps, 20 seconds a question, and play your turn any time within 24 hours.
  • Weekly leagues: each week you're in a group of about 30 learners with the same language and level — one league for every language you learn. The top three make the podium.
  • Friends: find people by username, send a request and see how they're doing.

Topic channels

Talk with other learners, at set times.

Pick a topic — daily chat, travel, job interviews, films and series — and join a voice room with learners at your level. Talk times mean there's someone to talk to when you arrive.

  • Talk times every day and at weekends, shown in your own time zone.
  • Remind me: one notification ten minutes before, and you can see how many are coming.
  • Open your own room for up to 25 people, with a password if you like.
  • Voice is live only: Lernify never records it.

Keep going

A streak worth keeping.

Every day you learn keeps your streak going, every task earns XP, and badges mark what you've done — from your first word to your level in each language.

  • Your week at a glance, with every day you've learned.
  • Badges for discoveries, reviews, conversations and friends, plus a level badge for each language, from A1 to C2.
  • Share my week: a story card with your new words and your streak.

Apple Watch

Review on your wrist.

The words you found on your iPhone come to your Apple Watch. A few minutes in a queue or on a walk is enough for a review.

  • Flashcards: see the word, check the translation, hear how it sounds.
  • Build the sentence: put the words of a real sentence in order.
  • Your streak as a complication on your watch face, and XP for every review.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

Who is Lernify for?

Anyone who wants to use a new language in everyday life. The app speaks your iPhone's language — English, Russian, Turkish or Azerbaijani — and you pick the one you want to learn: English, Spanish, German, Russian or Turkish. We measure your level for you on the first run (CEFR A1–C2).

Which languages can I learn?

Lernify is in English, Russian, Turkish or Azerbaijani: it follows the language your iPhone uses for it (Settings → Lernify → Language). Whichever it is, you can learn English, Spanish, German, Russian or Turkish.

Does it cost anything?

The app is in testing and free to use. If that changes, we'll say so here first.

Are my photos stored?

A photo is sent to the AI service only to recognise the object. With an account, the photo of each word you save is also kept privately with your account, so it comes back on a new phone — only you can see it, and it's deleted with your account. See the privacy policy.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Profile → Settings → Delete account removes the account and the data stored for it on the server.

When will it be on the App Store?Where can I get it?

The app is still in the making. To hear about the release, or to send an idea, write to [email protected].

Lernify is on the App Store, for iPhone: open it on the App Store.
